Having more than 30 years of teaching experience, recipient of Principal Excellence Award by Gujarat Chapter of Higher Education and CKSVIM institute of Management, Vadodara, ACBSP Teaching Excellence Award 2018, and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Life Time Achievement National Award 2018. Vice Chair Members Relations Committee ACBSP USA, Industry Institute Interface Committee (Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce). Published and presented more than 80 research papers in Journals, National and International conferences.

He was nominated as the Member of Faculty of Commerce and Management Committee by the Govt of Karnataka.

Vijayakumar R, Head, Department of Commerce, Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous), Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Prof. Vijayakumar R, has a vast experience of more than 20 years in accounting, finance, costing and taxation as a finance faculty member. He started his career in Larsen and Tubro as a field officer, after that he came into the teaching profession.

Prof. Vijayakumar has published articles in university campus news, approved business journals, academic journals in India and abroad, presented research papers on finance in national and international seminars at various institutes and universities in India. Past fifteen years, He is handling Subject like Accounting, Business Ethics and Corporate Governance, Business Taxation, Income tax and Indirect Taxes for Commerce and Management students in Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous).

He is a very eloquent speaker on life skills on ‘How to lead a successful and stress-free life’; frequently delivers lectures on banking industry reforms, perspective in accounting standards, changes in money market and capital market, taxation, emerging concepts of finance, ethical issues and corporate governance concepts.

He is a member of the green committee and has delivered lectures extensively on water management and water conservation at various universities addressing at all the stakeholders.

Prof. Vijayakumar is a visiting faculty member for IGNOU, Symbiosis, and Pondicherry University. He is a visiting faculty member for the various reputed institution in Bengaluru.

The commerce department is consecutively ranked for the third time in the top ten departments in Bengaluru city, according to India Today - MDRA survey.

Specialized in Commerce & Management, with an experience of more than 13+ years in Industry and Teaching and delivered more than 3,600 hours of Teaching lectures, he has published more than thirty articles and eighteen books to his credit. His research area is Workforce Diversity, Organizational Climate and Culture, SDG, Women studies, and topics that benefit society. He attended more than 100 National and International conferences, workshops, seminars, FDP, MDP, certified Life skills trainer by Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) & trained students on Life Skills topics from 2013 to around 4,000 Youths. He has completed two Fully Funded Minor Research projects funded by Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous).
